Memories of my speedboat trip to the resorts private Island will stay with me forever. This is a stunning heavenly hideaway.

Phuket is Thailand's most popular tourist destination and is reachable by domestic flights 1 hour 20 minutes from Bangkok airport or overland at the Sarasin bridge. The Evason is set amongst 64 acres of lush tropical gardens, by Rawai beach, at the south east tip of Phuket. I was warmly welcomed at the relaxing open air reception area which has stunning views of the resort and the cooling water covered rooftops leading out to the sea. Jay my host for the day very kindly introduced me to the concept of the Evason Phuket and before I could say "sawasdee" ( hello), I was lead down through the lush tropical garden path to the resort's own private jetty, within minutes I was whisked off on their speedboat to visit their own private beach on Bon Island only 15 minutes away. This private beach is complimentary for the exclusive day use of all guests and the longboat leaves at regular times throughout the day to take you there and collect you. The fine white sandy beach has a cocktail bar restaurant and also day salas available should you want a little more privacy and relaxation space. For that extra special unique indulgence, you can book into the one and only honeymoon suite on the island, where apart from your overnight butler, you will be the only 2 guests in residence on the island. Here you can relax, wine and dine in your own exclusive island villa with your personal chef and butler.
The daily island trip is a great escape from the mainland and there are water sports and snorkeling available as well as the opportunity to capture some great marine life experiences such as the crab families nestling on the rocks nearby.
We headed back to the mainland for a delicious lunch by the sea, and afterwards went to the tranquil adult only sun bathing and infinity pool area. There are also grown up dining options ( with kids free zones after certain times etc). For further relaxation, the Six Senses Spa is well deserved pampering you'll never forget. Here you can relax and revitalize at one of the "floating "open air salas or aircon indoor treatment rooms.
Accommodation comes in the form of deluxe rooms or junior suites and pool villas with more sleeping and living space and private balconies. Rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished using natural materials and products such as unfinished wood and natural toiletries. You wont find any plastic bottles of Evian here, the Evason bottles its own water here at source. The TV is there but hidden behind a hessian cover so as not to intrude in this special luxury eco chic escape. Food is as fresh and local as possible to reduce the carbon footprint, organic herbs and vegetables are home grown in the gardens and waste management throughout the resort is carefully monitored. The wine list is carefully selected to for its carbon footprint and eco-friendliness.
There are several restaurants covering many cuisine tastes including Western, Mediterranean, Thai, and fusion as well as an evening buffet . There are also daily excursions to local attractions such as Phi Phi Island and shuttle services to Phuket town and Patong beach for shopping and nightlife.
