Upon collection from the airport, I was most warmly greeted with a cooling flannel and a delicious thirst quenching exotic fruit drink. I was then taken to my room which turned out to be a stunning loft apartment with full length reflective windows, opening out to my private pool deck and steps into the 36 mt infinity pool. It was late afternoon and just enough time to check out the sun loungers on the beach. Here the beach attendant was very helpful again offering me a cooling flannel and complementary water, there is a bar here too for those thirst quenching afternoon smoothies or a pre dinner cocktail
I headed back to change for dinner, just in time to catch an amazing sunset from my pool deck, here the sun glistened in between the palm trees and slowly sunk below the horizon.
My supersized Ocean View loft suite was fully equipped with Plasma TV, Ipod station, mood lighting and extra comfy fully sprung mattresses exclusively designed for the Aleenta. Downstairs the spacious living area opens out to the pool deck, and the sleeping area upstairs overlooks the lounge and out over the pool towards the beach and the invigorating sea views beyond.
There are choices of dining options, there is the Chef's Table for fine dining and the open air downstairs restaurant for less formal cuisine. The Aleenta serves fresh seafood and local produce as much as possible as well as organically grown herbs and vegetables. For a truly romantic dinner under the stars, a candle lit dinner on the beach is one you'll never forget. The Gourmet breakfast will set you up for the day and if you do feel like being energetic, there planned activities to join should you wish such as Tai Chi, yoga for beginners, head massage lessons and basket weaving. There are also day trips out to nearby attractions such as Phi Phi Island, elephant trekking and surrounding beaches . Phuket Town and Patong beach are about 30 minutes away- great for night markets, shopping and nightlife.
